THE BEST EVER!!

Things i love to do...

laughing for absolutly NO reason... sounds a bit odd, sometimes i think i have a mental disorder, but seriously it is great when you get that euphoric feeling and out of nowhere you belt out the biggest gut busting laugh. I think laughing is the best medicine, when its sincere, you feel great:D

Driving on the freeway in the warm summer breeze at night with the windows down listening to Dashboard Confessions. THE BEST EVER!

When your cold outside and you've been walking for a long time not to mention soaking wet from the rain and you see home... you get a sense of comfort, warmth and love. Then you walk through the door and its better than you imagined...

Hearing that song on the radio that makes you wanna move and sing at the top of your lungs

Getting on the scale and bracing yourself for bad news when you lost 2 whole pounds and you did absolutly nothing!! Gosh i love it when that happens lol.

When your so tired you fall deep into sleep as soon as your body touches the bed. Then in the middle of the night you turn over and look at the clock and to your suprise its only 1:00 am...YESS 5 more hours!!!

The smell of christmas..even if it is just a candle

The feel of sand in between your toes

Jumping in a body of water (whatever it may be) after being so hot and getting instant relife...

Suprise parties...i personally hate suprises...but at the end of the day you reflect and realize how blessed you are to have people who love you enough to do that.

After a long day at work kicking your heels off, collapsing on the couch and watching your favorite show...cough cough general hostpital lol

making a baby laugh

Having a good soul cleansing cry.. in my opinion it takes a much stronger person to let go of their pride and have a moment of vulnerability and just let it all out.

These are a few of the things that make me happy...whats yours?

Feeling a little selfconscience?

Now that its swimsuit season a lot of us are shying away from that bikini. I'm guilty as well. I was reading Glamour mag and there was an article on being comfortable in your own skin and they are so right!

1. Because you probably look better than you think...

One classic study found that while women were impressively adept at estimating the size of a box, they overestimated the size of their hips by 16 percent and their waist by 28 percent.

2. Because Dorothy Dale Kloss, 85, is Guinness world records oldest performing showgirl...

If people are still lining up to see her in a barley there costume, what doe you have to worry about?

3. because hips are in...

thanks to Sara Ramirez, beyonce, whomever, but 50% of women are satisfied with their hips now- that's up 11% from 25 years ago.

4. Because most of us don't wear a size 2. So what?...

the average woman wears a size 14 suit- not that teeny dental floss number you might find on the cover of sports illustrated.

5. Because swimsuits have never been more comfortable...

spandex is the modern miracle. your great grandmothers swimsuit was made of wool. Wool!

6. Because we can!...

In many countries showing your off your body is verboten...so show off that body with pride!

Rule of thumb...

Lets face it...going the natural route takes a lot of guts. I cant tell you how bad i get it from my family. If i got a relaxer it would probably be the biggest celebration we have had all year. Which in my opinion is seriously PATHETIC! If your like me, i got my first relaxer at four years old...who does that? Ofcourse i was to young to protest and even if i was its not like i had a choice. Its ridiculous how thats all a majority of our community knows as far as it comes to hair, Just reenforcing the idea that our hair isn't beautiful in its natural state and i go postal if someone calls my hair NAPPY. And our hair is BEAUTIFUL! The sky is the limit. One day we can rock a fro, the next be sleek and sexy. When i see a woman with natural hair i get so excited and can t help but stare(i know creepy...) the confidence and regalness is what makes it even more beautiful. People are going to talk, say mean things, and it hurts most of it comes from the ones who are closest to you. The pressure is menacing! Just keep your eyes on the prize and know that every strand on your head is beautiful! Heres some motivation

P.S.

comment some of your hardships and triumphs with going and being natural(i would love to hear:D)
